This month, I volunteered for a total of 8 hours at Second Harvest Food Bank. I volunteered here last semester, assisting in the same role with packaging and sorting food into boxes for distribution. I worked with wonderful groups of people this month and it made my time volunteering enjoyable. 

March was also marked with another milestone of finalizing my research poster for the TRICS conference in April. The conference is about two weeks away and I'm both very excited and a little nervous. I really enjoyed the process of creating the poster. It was amazing seeing the data come together as individual pieces fitting into the bigger puzzle. I had a fun time making all my graphs aesthetically pleasing and creating a story while organizing the data.  I'm super grateful for the opportunity to share what I've been working hard on all semester.

Last week we had our last regular exams for Med Pharm & Principles of Pharmacology. It was a bit surreal because time has flown by so fast. It feels like just yesterday I was just starting this program, trying to absorb as much as possible. Now, as I began studying for final exams, I realize just how much knowledge I've gained (and retained) in such a short period of time. More importantly, my love for science continues to grow exponentially. Every presentation, class, research project, and discussion reinforces my excitement for this field and I can't wait to see where this path takes me.

We were stationed at the merchandise booth and spent time selling t-shirts, hats, sweatshirts, and posters to an enthusiastic crowd of locals and visitors. Service Hours: 0 My first month in Tulane's Pharmacology program has gone by so quickly. Every day, I wake up excited to learn. Between engaging coursework, supportive classmates and professors, this experience has exceeded my expectations in every way. Each course offers something new, and I look forward to every class. Whether it's learning about drug interactions, pharmacokinetics, or the molecular biology of disease, every subject is relevant and connected to real-world applications.  One of the most exciting aspects of my journey in the Pharmacology program has been the opportunity to deepen my understanding of cellular mechanisms. The intricate processes that occur within our cells and their influence on drug efficacy are truly fascinating. Service hours: 8; Cumulative hours: 8 Winter break flew by, and just like that, I'm back in the swing of things with a fresh semester ahead. These first few weeks have been packed with getting back into study mode and adjusting to a new schedule. This semester, we have a lot of presentations and I've been putting in overtime balancing my lab activities, preparing to present, and staying on top of lecture material. It's been a bit of a juggling act, but I'm slowly finding my rhythm again. I'm very excited for what's to come in the Neuropharmacology course. I have a huge interest in cellular mechanisms and I have really enjoyed listening to my peers present on challenging topics and discuss current research in the field.  Winter break gave me a much needed reset.
